Professional Services Consultant - Core & Edge

What you ll do:

• Work consultatively with customers, PMs, sales, and systems engineering to scope and deliver projects.
• Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security; recommend proactive improvements.
• Collaborate with Juniper technical teams on product placement and feature reliability.
• Act as Technical Consultant for major deployments/migrations:
  • Deliver milestones (HLD/LLD docs, migration planning, product integration, acceptance).
• Test, design, and plan deployments of new products/features with colleagues and customer teams.
• Support networks in early deployment stages.
• Lead larger projects, coordinate delivery teams, and own implementation responsibility.
• Conduct training/knowledge transfer workshops for partners and customers.
• Build strong relationships with customer technical management and teams.
• Participate in requirements workshops and design/test/engineering discussions.
• Provide input on best practices for design, migration planning, validation, and verification testing.
• Assist with operational handover to customer or Juniper RE.
• Track/report issues during testing, implementation, and migration.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues; replicate customer environments in lab.
• Work with customers across different zones, including international engagements.

What you need to bring:

• Strong consultancy, design, implementation, migration, and customer handling experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Extensive technical background supporting large Service Provider networks and mobile backhaul.
• Deep hands on expertise in:
  • TCP/IP, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, IPSEC, Traffic Engineering, IGP, BGP, Internet peering/exchanges.
  • Protocols: IS IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QoS, IPv4/IPv6.
• Service Provider domain knowledge (Enterprise/DC exposure is a plus).
• Linux server/network services experience (DHCP, SNMP, FTP/TFTP, DNS, NTP).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, English fluency).
• Flexibility for international travel.

Preferred/Additional Strengths:

• Advanced SP technologies: NG MVPN, CGNAT/BNG, Segment Routing.
• Scripting skills: Perl, Python, Unix.
• Certifications: Juniper (JNCIA JNCIE), Cisco (CCNA CCIE).
• Hands on Juniper device experience.
• Education: Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
