Professional Communication Certification

We are seeking a knowledgeable and creative Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design and

develop interactive videos that review and reinforce the learning objectives of the CCS

Professional Communication certification exam.

The SME will collaborate with instructional designers, media specialists, and project

stakeholders to create engaging, standards-aligned video content that prepares learners for

certification success while strengthening practical workplace communication skills.

Topics and Concepts Covered in the Course

● Basic Communication Principles

● Best Practices for Creating Business Deliverables

● Message Delivery Methods

● Receiver Communications

● Communication Scenarios

Key Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expertise:

○ Translate CCS Professional Communication certification objectives into clear,

accurate, and learner-appropriate interactive video scripts and scenarios.

○ Ensure all content reflects certification standards, workplace relevance, and

professional communication best practices.

○ Provide real-world examples of professional communication challenges and

effective solutions.

Instructional Design:

○ Design interactive videos that engage learners through realistic workplace

scenarios and decision-making opportunities.

○ Align each video with Bloom’s Taxonomy and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels

required by certification objectives.

○ Collaborate with team members to ensure scripts and storyboards translate

seamlessly into high-quality interactive media.

Collaboration and Feedback:

○ Work closely with instructional designers, editors, and project managers to

ensure instructional quality and accuracy.

○ Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders into video content.

○ Collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional team environment

Qualifications Required:

● Strong knowledge of professional and workplace communication practices.

● Prior experience in instructional video design, curriculum development, or interactive

learning content.

● Ability to explain communication strategies and principles in a clear, accessible manner

for diverse learners.

● Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, especially for educational video

scripting.

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communication, Business

Communication, Education, or English.

Preferred:

● Experience teaching or training in professional communication, business education, or

workplace skills.

● Familiarity with Bloom’s Taxonomy, instructional design principles, and

competency-based assessments.

● Certification in CCS Professional Communication or another professional

communication/workplace skills credential.
