Job Description Position: Product/Material Compliance Coordinator Scope and purpose: Manage customer requests regarding substance requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, Customer specific requests, etc. as well as IMDS requirements. Administrate and manage substance requests to Boyd's suppliers in order to meet and respond to the customer requests in the above areas and manage and build up an up-to-date database for timely response. The role will cover assignments in all market segments. Communication and cooperation with Boyd sites and suppliers all over the world is expected. Location: Chennai Timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Exp: 5-8 yrs Areas of Responsibility Review the received customer requests regarding substance requirements and make sure what the valid requirements are (RoHS; REACH, IMDS, Conflict Minerals, Customer specific requests, etc.) and that required input data from the site contact is complete. Control the part in questions in regard to the valid requirements (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, IMDS, etc.) If data is missing contact the suppliers involved to receive the required substance information Fill out either the customer format or the Boyd format for response to the customer Respond to the customer as well as the involved manufacturing site sending the documents with the required information. Manage the data base of SGS reports making sure these are up to date and available to required internal and externa parties Manage IMDS database entries and updates Ensure compliance with CBAM Keep update on changes in restrictions for regulations such as but not limited to RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals. Keep track of requests answered Work with each site on defining clear work instructions between this role and each site Communication As the position links to several different departments, individuals and customers who are dependent on each other for project success, it is critical that communication internally and externally is professional and representative of Boyds overall policies. Communication needs to be clear, documented and to the point to avoid misunderstandings and incorrect assumptions. Good communication skills in English is required as well as the ability to work independently. Authority Manage the needs for restricted substances related to various legal requirements as well as customer needs Work with the sites to make sure there is an efficient process that works for all parties Competences: knowledge, skills and attitude Good administrative skills Technical or Engineering degree or experience is a benefit Experience of working with RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc. is a benefit Track record in delivering tasks on time Fluent English is a must, other languages are an asset IT-literate: MS Office, Internet, mail Customer focus: Is concerned with helping and serving others.
