Job Description

Senior Manager Contracts & Legal

Construction / EPC / Infrastructure

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate EPC, item-rate, lump-sum, sub-contracts, JV, and vendor agreements
Manage claims, counterclaims, EOTs, variations, price escalation, and contractual correspondence
Handle disputes related to delays, cost overruns, LDs, and termination; coordinate arbitration/litigation with counsels
Advise project, procurement, commercial, and finance teams on contractual and legal matters
Ensure compliance with Contract Act, Arbitration Act, Companies Act, Labour Laws, and related statutes
Support tendering and pre-bid negotiations with contractual risk assessment
Maintain contract registers, claim trackers, litigation MIS, and report high-risk matters to management

Key Skills

Construction contracts & EPC frameworks
Claims management and arbitration
Strong commercial and legal acumen
Negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder management
Ability to manage multiple high-value projects

Qualifications

LLB – Mandatory
LLM – Preferred
Contract Management / Arbitration certification – Advantage

Industry Exposure (Preferred)

Infrastructure, Industrial, Roads, Metro, Power, Cement, Steel, Oil & Gas
Large-value projects (500+ Cr)
