Production (supervisor) : Senior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Production entry in ICSoft from operator to be monitor.
• Material status to be collect from Production Data and enter in ICsoft Daily.
• Daily meeting at 9.00 am to 9.30 am (Material Status to be updated to your colleagues)
• Programme sending & receiving as per schedule before 48 hrs (2days)
• Process Drawing, Inspection report, Work Instruction ,Set up Drawing, Tools, fixtures, Measuring instruments & gauges to be issued to the machine .( This activity belongs to tool setters only, you have to ensure all the items are available /not, if any changes to be updated in respective areas.)
• Ensure, Process Drawing, Inspection report, Work Instruction, set up Drawing ,Tools, fixtures, measuring instruments, gauges & etc., is reached to the store after completion of job.
• Ensure operator is writing cycle time sheet for every batch.
• Tools & Inserts Life Study. Enter the details taken from operator side.

• Cycle Time sheet to be collected from operator, to be scanned and saved in computer.
• Study the cycle time, look for continuous reduction by using latest tools &inserts with improved cutting parameters with the help of application engineer, reduction in approach of tool & cutter entry &exit.
• Feedback reports activities to be clear then and their only by taking help of concerned person.
• Rework to be cleared in the middle of the batch within daytime only.
• First part approval to be completed for all 1st part in all m/cs. If found error, Root cause to be found and action plan to be decided, if need help take from your superior.
• Reason for Rework to be studied, Root cause to be identified and ensure the same should not repeat in the next batch. Aim 100% OK jobs.
• Monitor and enter the machine maintenance activities in the respective machine files.
• Responsible for monitoring and ensuring completion of all deburring activities by operators.
• Attend MIS meet with collective Information & Action Plan.
• Monitor the TPM Track.
• In your absence, you must inform your work personally to your sub-ordinates, so that your work will not stop. Similarly in your sub-ordinate’s absence, you must share his work & nothing should stop.
• Production schedule to be followed & if any delays are there to be written on the schedule, then to be analysed along with Production Engg. & Production Manager to avoid such delays.
• Production book to be signed in your shift all machines
• Monitor all operators writing production book, inspection report, cycle time sheet, setup time sheet, job Serial no etc as per there responsibility if not give report to manager.
• Maintain 5’S.
• Give continuously Kaizens. Give help to your operator to create Kaizen.
• Monitor M chart as to be filled on daily basis.
• Monitor and ensure preventive maintenance schedule daily, weekly monthly, 3 months and yearly plan.
• Monitor and ensure all maintenance records to be maintained then and there.
