Role Overview:

PPC Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning

• Prepare

  daily, weekly, and monthly production plans

  as per sales orders and project schedules
• Break down orders into

  process-wise and machine-wise plans

• Plan manpower, machines, shifts, and overtime requirements
• Ensure production targets are realistic and achievable

2. Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Prepare

  material requirement plans (MRP)

  for raw materials like steel sections, plates, bolts, nuts, galvanizing items, etc.
• Coordinate with

  purchase & stores

  to ensure timely availability of materials
• Monitor stock levels and avoid

  shortage, excess stock, or production stoppage

• Control issuance of material to minimize wastage and rework

3. Production Control & Monitoring

• Track actual production vs planned production daily
• Identify bottlenecks and delays and take corrective action
• Monitor

  WIP (Work in Progress)

  at each production stage
• Ensure smooth flow from fabrication welding galvanizing dispatch

4. Coordination with Departments

• Work closely with

  design/engineering

  for drawings and BOM availability
• Coordinate with

  quality team

  to ensure inspection plans are followed
• Coordinate with

  dispatch/logistics

  for timely delivery
• Communicate production status to management and sales team

5. Quality & Process Control Support

• Ensure production follows approved drawings and SOPs
• Support quality inspections and documentation
• Help reduce rework, rejection, and material loss
• Maintain production and quality records

6. Cost & Productivity Improvement

• Monitor production efficiency and machine utilization
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce cycle time
• Support cost control initiatives related to material, manpower, and overheads

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production plans, daily reports, and MIS
• Prepare weekly and monthly production performance reports
• Update ERP / Excel-based planning and tracking sheets

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years experience in

  PPC / Production Planning

  in manufacturing
• Experience in

  solar structure, fabrication, or heavy engineering

  preferred
• Good understanding of fabrication processes and material flow
• Strong Excel and ERP knowledge
• Good coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
