Production Planning and Control (PPC)

As a Production Scheduler, your main responsibility will be to develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and available resources. You will also be in charge of monitoring and managing inventory levels, coordinating material procurement, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and components. Collaborating with production managers and other departments to allocate resources for production activities, including manpower, equipment, and materials, will be a crucial aspect of your role. Tracking production progress, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to optimize production efficiency and meet quality standards will also be part of your daily tasks. You will be expected to analyze production data, identify trends, recommend process improvements, and communicate production schedules, progress, and issues to relevant stakeholders. Continuous improvement is key in this role, as you will be required to identify opportunities for process enhancement, implement corrective actions, and contribute to the overall optimization of the production process. Maintaining accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and production costs, as well as forecasting future demand and planning production accordingly, will be essential to ensure operational efficiency. Problem-solving skills will also be crucial in resolving production issues such as material shortages or equipment malfunctions. Additionally, you will be involved in creating and managing production budgets as required.
