Position Summary

The Production Manufacturing Chemist will play a key role in overseeing and supporting the formulation, production, and quality control processes of personal care and cosmetic products This position ensures that manufacturing operations align with regulatory standards and company SOPs while maintaining the highest level of product quality and efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and support the daily production of personal care, cosmetics, and oral care formulations Collaborate with R&D and Quality Control teams to scale up formulations from pilot to commercial batch sizes Ensure accurate weighing, mixing, and compounding of raw materials as per batch manufacturing records (BMR) Maintain GMP standards and production documentation in compliance with ISO and regulatory guidelines Troubleshoot and resolve formulation or production-related issues Monitor critical production parameters (temperature, pH, viscosity, etc) and ensure consistency Train and guide production line staff on best manufacturing practices and safety protocols Conduct in-process checks to ensure batch uniformity and adherence to quality standards Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure smooth equipment functioning

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field Certification in GMP, ISO, or Cosmetic Manufacturing (preferred)

Hard Skills

Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry and formulation science Familiarity with GMP, GLP, ISO 22716, and other regulatory compliance standards Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment like mixers, homogenizers, and reactors Proficiency in maintaining batch records and production documentation Ability to analyze and interpret production data and technical documents

Soft Skills

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Leadership qualities with the ability to work in cross-functional teams Time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proactive attitude toward continuous process improvement

Preferred Experience

2-5 years of experience in cosmetic, personal care, or pharmaceutical manufacturing Prior experience in private label or contract manufacturing setups is highly desirable Experience with skin care, oral care, and hair care product categories is a plus
