Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and control

  daily production schedules

  for fine blanking components as per customer and internal demand.
• Ensure

  maximum machine utilisation and minimum downtime

  across fine blanking presses.
• Lead and guide a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators to achieve

  KPIsOEE, cycle time, yield, rejection, and rework

  targets.
• Monitor

  process parameters and quality standards and

  ensure

  adherence to work instructions/SOPs

  .
• Coordinate with

  toolroom, maintenance, quality, and planning

  departments to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
• Troubleshoot

  process and tooling-related issues

  during production and provide timely corrective actions.
• Drive

  process improvements, lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen

  initiatives in the production area.
• Ensure compliance with

  safety norms

  , EHS policies, and statutory regulations on the shop floor.
• Manage and control

  production costs and scrap generation

  , and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
• Participate in

  customer audits, internal quality audits, and root cause analysis

  for production-related issues.
• Maintain documentation related to

  production reports, rejection analysis, downtime, tool changeover logs

  , etc.

Key Skills Required:

• In-depth knowledge of

  fine blanking process, presses (FB type), die setting, and tool life management

• Strong leadership and

  team management

  skills
• Hands-on experience in

  OEE, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing

• Ability to read and interpret

  engineering drawings, work instructions, and process sheets

• Exposure to

  ISO/TS 16949 / IATF 16949

  quality systems and documentation
• Strong analytical and

  problem-solving skills (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)

• Good knowledge of

  raw materials, press tools, and lubrication systems

• Proficient in using

  MS Office, ERP/MRP systems

  , and production planning tools
