As a Production Manager, you will be responsible to oversee and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing and production to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery within budget. Key responsibilities include production planning and scheduling, resource and manpower management, trhird party engagement, third party assessment, cost monitoring, quality assurance, and strict adherence to safety standards. The role serves as a critical bridge between strategic objectives and day-to-day operational execution.
The Production Manager is responsible for leading the complete manufacturing process to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery in full and on time (DIFOT). This role requires strong operational leadership, technical expertise, and disciplined execution to optimize resources, minimize rework, and improve overall productivity
1) Develop and execute daily, monthly, and long-term production schedules.
3) Assess project and resource requirements and plan manpower accordingly.
4) Optimize overtime utilization, ensuring it is used judiciously and effectively.
5) Revise schedules when required to meet customer commitments and operational constraints.
6) Oversee end-to-end production operations with focus on efficiency, safety, and quality.
7) Monitor production parameters, equipment performance, and productivity metrics.
9) Organize routine and preventive maintenance for all production equipment.
11) Establish and enforce quality control standards at each stage of production.
13) Ensure strict adherence to QMS requirements and participate actively in audits.
14) Conduct raw material, in-process, and finished goods testing as per specifications.
15) Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
16) Manage new development and standardization activities.
17) Utilize lab instruments and analytical tools for accurate quality evaluation.
18) Maintain traceability of materials, intermediates, and batch cycle times.
19) Lead, mentor, and supervise the production workforce, including contractors.
21) Foster a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
22) Ensure safety awareness and adherence to protocols across all levels of the team.
23) Engage and manage third-party service providers and outsourced operations.
24) Conduct performance evaluations and capability assessments of vendors/outsourcing partners.
25) Carry out inspections at vendor works when required to ensure compliance to quality and delivery requirements.
26) Manage budgets and monitor cost elements related to manpower, materials, and processes.
27) Drive efficient resource utilization to minimize cost overruns.
28) Coordinate procurement of materials and maintain strict material traceability.
29) Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
30) Analyze production data, flow rates, downtime, and process bottlenecks to drive improvements.
31) Implement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce cycle time, and improve yields.
32) Prepare and present periodic production performance reports to management.
33) Actively contribute to product development and process optimization discussions.
