Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and implement production schedules based on customer orders, available materials, and factory capacity.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., design, sourcing, and procurement) to ensure timely material availability.
• Adjust production plans as necessary to meet deadlines and customer specifications.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and supervise the production team, including machine operators, line leaders, and other production staff.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among different production units.

Quality Control & Standards

• Monitor production quality to ensure that finished products meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Implement quality control measures to minimize defects and waste.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality compliance throughout production.

Process Optimization & Efficiency

• Continuously evaluate production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize machine usage and labor allocation to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to reduce waste and improve output.

Inventory & Materials Management

• Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials.
• Maintain inventory control of both raw materials and finished goods, ensuring minimal stockouts and overstock.
• Monitor waste and scrap rates, aiming to reduce them through efficient production practices.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety training and encourage adherence to best practices in workplace safety.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and material usage.
• Prepare regular reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics such as efficiency, cost, and quality.

Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting

• Address and resolve production issues, whether they relate to equipment failure, material shortages, or labor concerns.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely machine repairs and prevent production delays.
