We are hiring for Production Head - CNC Machine Shop

Location : Arasur, Coimbatore

Qualification : Diploma / BE in Mechanical

Expereince : Production with 12–20 years experience in CNC machine shop leadership

We are looking for a dynamic Production Head to lead our CNC machine shop operations and drive productivity, quality, and efficiency across 40+ CNC machines and a workforce of nearly 200 people.

Key Responsibilities:

# Lead setters, supervisors & managers to achieve higher OEE, lower breakdowns, and stable production.

# Plan machine capacity, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery.

# Drive reduction in material inventory, WIP, and non-value-added activities.

# Improve machining productivity through cycle-time optimisation and tooling improvements.

# Implement structured shift management, productivity KPIs & daily reviews.

# Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and process discipline.

# Coordinate with NPD, Maintenance, Quality & Planning teams to sustain smooth operations.

# Build a strong team culture, identify skill gaps, and upskill operators and setters.

Required Skills:

# Strong knowledge of CNC machining (Turning, VMC, HMC) and production systems.

# Proven experience in leading large machine shop teams.

# Hands-on understanding of OEE, Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and loss reduction.

# Ability to drive productivity, reduce cost, and improve manpower efficiency.

# Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
