The Production Executive will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that frozen food products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This role requires hands-on supervision of processes, workforce coordination, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while meeting production targets.

Role & responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Plan, monitor, and execute daily production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
  • Supervise production staff and assign tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Oversee food processing, freezing, and packaging operations according to SOPs.
  • Monitor machine performance, minimize downtime, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, and other food safety standards.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to maintain consistency in product quality.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed on the production floor.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality control records.

People Management

  • Train, guide, and motivate shop floor workers and machine operators.
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of production staff.
  • Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safe working practices.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
  • Coordinate with stores and procurement for timely availability of materials.
  • Track production costs and assist in optimizing efficiency.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports for management.
  • Maintain records of output, downtime, wastage, and manpower utilization.
  • Support audits (internal, external, regulatory) with relevant documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in cold storage/processing environments.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
