Job Description

Production Engineer / Soldering Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Perform manual soldering of surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components.
Inspect soldered assemblies according to IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
Analyze electronic components and assemblies for quality and functionality.
Read and interpret process documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOM) and assembly drawings.
Conduct testing of PCB assemblies and troubleshoot failures.
Perform root cause analysis of defects and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate production and testing records.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in component identification.
Hands-on experience with manual and SMT soldering processes.
Familiarity with ESD precautions and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
Ability to handle test equipment for electronic assemblies.
Analytical skills and attention to detail.

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Communication.

Preferred Candidate Profile (Not mandatory for freshers):

Minimum 1 year of experience in manual soldering of SMD and through-hole components.
Knowledge of PCB testing and problem analysis.
Experience in documentation and generating manufacturing records.
Strong analytical skills and component identification ability.
