Production Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Team Member - Production to join our production team. This role is responsible for the operation and monitoring of extrusion machinery used in the manufacturing of high-quality EVA encapsulant sheets. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor and responsible for day to day shift operation of extrusion machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

Set up and adjust machine parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, speed, thickness) to meet product specifications and production targets.

Provide guidance to off roll & outsourced manpower for production process stabilization and day to day activities.

Conduct real-time quality checks, including thickness measurement, visual inspection, and defect detection, ensuring conformity to quality standards.

Record machine settings, production output, material usage, and quality data accurately in production logs or digital systems.

Perform routine equipment cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain machine efficiency.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational or mechanical issues during production; escalate complex issues to maintenance.

Operate HMI to control extrusion parameters, monitor line status, adjust settings, log production data, and handle system alerts.

Collaborate with the Quality Control and Maintenance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions when defects or deviations occur.

Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations (e.g., PPE usage, 5S, housekeeping).

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, machine performance issues, and opportunities for quality enhancement.

Support in training new operators on equipment handling, safety procedures, and production best practices.
