Position: Production Engineer

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering (Electronics, Electronics & Telecom).
15 years of experience in electronics or smart meter production.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day production of smart energy meters (single-phase / three-phase).
Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to meet daily/weekly targets.
Ensure efficient assembly of PCBs, modules, enclosures, and final product.
Coordinate with QA/QC, Testing, and R&D teams for smooth production flow.
Analyze production bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards (IS/IEC).
Maintain production documents: work instructions, SOPs, reports, and logs.
Monitor machine health (soldering stations, ATE, calibrators, etc.).
Train and guide operators, technicians, and line supervisors.
Track material consumption and coordinate with the Stores team.
Support customer audits and internal quality audits.

Key Skills Required

Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, Through-hole, Assembly).
Hands-on experience with energy meter components & production flow.
Strong understanding of work instructions, SOP creation, and line balancing.
Familiarity with tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, calibration equipment.
Strong communication & team-handling skills.
Ability to troubleshoot assembly and production-related issues.
