Job Description for Production Engineer We are looking for a reliable, innovative Production Engineer to oversee manufacturing processes at our company. Positions: 2 Qualification and Experience: Experience: 2-5 years (production/fabrication workshop) Qualification - Degree/Diploma in Mechanical engineering Computer skills - MS Office/Auto CAD software/Solid works Salary - (as per experience) Location: Chakan (Phase-ll), Pune Shift time: Rotational Role: Production Engineer Industry Type: Engineering & Manufacturing Department: Production Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Production/Engineering Duties & Responsibilities: Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner. Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs and worker required. Diagnosing problems in the production and providing recommendations and training. Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers. Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices. Analysing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement. Required Skills and Abilities: Independently determines approach and assigned tasks Understanding manufacturing processes Understanding engineering, manufacturing drawing. Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach Understand lean manufacturing Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment Planning and prioritising activities Ability to present data effectively Understanding of Health and Safety practices Good knowledge in 5S, Kaizen, PPC, material management, quality control, Vendor follow up & shift planning. Continuous production improvements for Process. Ability to train the team and lead teams within the work group Ability to manage group to achieve goals within budget Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
