Job Summary:

The Production Chemist will oversee the manufacturing, quality control, and batch processing of cosmetic, skin care, and oral care formulations The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations while optimizing production efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

Batch Manufacturing: Prepare and supervise the production of skin care, cosmetics, and oral care products as per approved formulations Quality Control: Conduct in-process checks (pH, viscosity, appearance) to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications Documentation: Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and quality reports as per regulatory standards Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues related to raw materials, equipment, or processes Safety & Compliance: Follow GMP, ISO, and company SOPs to ensure workplace safety and product integrity Team Collaboration: Work with R&D, QA/QC, and packaging teams to streamline production workflows Continuous Improvement: Suggest process optimizations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Qualifications & Skills:

Hard Skills:

Strong knowledge of cosmetic/skin care/oral care formulations (emulsions, gels, creams, serums, toothpaste, etc) Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment (mixers, homogenizers, filling machines) Familiarity with GMP, ISO 22716, and regulatory compliance in cosmetics manufacturing Proficiency in QC testing methods (pH, viscosity, stability testing)

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities Team player with good communication skills Time management to meet production deadlines

Education & Certifications:

B Sc/M Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or Chemical Engineering Diploma/Certification in Cosmetic Science/Industrial Chemistry (preferred)

Preferred Experience:

2-5 years of experience in cosmetic/pharma/FMCG production Prior work in private-label manufacturing (skin care, oral care, or cosmetics) is a plus
