Job Title: Production Support Engineer Java & SQL Location: Chennai Experience: 2+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Production Support Engineer with a strong foundation in Java and SQL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on experience in application support, issue resolution, and production incident management. Prior exposure to the NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) domain will be considered a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities: Monitor production systems and respond to incidents, ensuring minimum downtime and fast resolution. Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term fixes for recurring issues. Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Write and optimize SQL queries to analyze data issues and support application functionality. Participate in deployment and post-deployment validation activities. Maintain support documentation, runbooks, and incident logs. Provide on-call support during off-hours as required on a rotational basis. Required Skills: 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Core Java, J2EE). Strong knowledge of SQL (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) with the ability to write complex queries. Experience in application support , incident management , and production monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, etc.). Familiarity with ticketing systems like JIRA , ServiceNow , or similar. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to the NBFC or financial services domain . Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and log analysis. Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
