Job Description

You will play a crucial role in proactively maintaining and developing all Linux infrastructure technology to ensure a 24x7x365 uptime service. Your responsibilities will include engineering systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs, maintaining best practices for managing systems and services across all environments, and analyzing logging information for reporting performance exceptions. It will be important for you to proactively monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and manage software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware. You will also be expected to create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks and provide input on enhancing the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment. Collaboration with other teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be required to articulate standard methodologies during implementation and demonstrate knowledge and expertise in OS clustering, partitioning, virtualization, Linux scripting languages, and services like Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx, among others. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, network tools, and virtualization technologies will also be necessary. Your ability to build and monitor services on production servers and knowledge of servers and switches will be valuable contributions to the team.
