Product Support Linux (Factory)

As a candidate with 4-7 years of experience in Linux infrastructure technology, your role will involve maintaining a 24x7x365 uptime service by proactively developing and managing all Linux infrastructure technology. You will be responsible for engineering systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs, ensuring best practices are maintained across all environments. Your key responsibilities will include: - Proactively monitoring system performance, capacity planning, and fault finding to analyze performance exceptions. - Managing and implementing software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware. - Creating and modifying scripts or applications for task automation. - Providing input on enhancing stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment. - Collaborating with other teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. - Maintaining Windows deployment and articulating standard methodologies during implementation. - Demonstrating knowledge and expertise in OS clustering, partitioning, virtualization, Linux scripting languages, and services like Bind, Apache, MySQL, and nginx. - Utilizing configuration management tools like Ansible and network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc. - Experience with load balancing, firewalls, virtualization technologies like Xen, virtual box, VMware, and building/monitoring services on production servers. - Familiarity with servers, switches, and proficiency in technology and tool evaluation reporting.
