Job Description

Job Title: Technical Consultant / Technical Engineer Department: IT Services / Delivery / Solutions Reports To: Technical Lead / Delivery Manager Job Summary: As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering technical tasks within the project delivery cycle. You will apply your knowledge across a broad spectrum of technologies to contribute to technical designs, configurations, installations, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure high-quality delivery while also contributing to technical forums and ongoing knowledge sharing. What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities :Deliver assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project with minimal supervision. Understand a broad range of technologies to contribute to detailed technical designs that meet customer requirements. Perform tasks including installing new system applications, updating firmware, drivers, and applications. Carry out configuration, boundary setting, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Write applications or code for assigned modules within larger programs if required. Assist in the preparation and delivery of technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer meetings. Collaborate with technical leads and customer stakeholders to ensure successful task execution. Participate in design discussions for deliverables and assist in developing technical solutions. Maintain strong professional relationships with team members and customers. Understand company strategies and your role in achieving broader objectives. Utilize knowledge management tools, contribute to internal documentation, and reuse information to enhance project outcomes. Engage with internal technical forums, professional communities, and user groups to share and gain knowledge. What You Need to Bring: Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3–5 years of technical experience. Without a degree, an additional 2 years of relevant experience (5–7 years total). Knowledge and Skills: Strong technical depth with the ability to independently handle implementations of specific deliverables. Ability to contribute to solution designs and architecture for assigned components. Skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting technical issues on individual products or solutions. Effective communication skills—able to convey technical concepts clearly to peers, customers, and teams. Able to create comprehensive technical documentation for internal and external use. Experience in working collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Knowledge of systems configuration, deployment, and upgrade processes. Exposure to Agile methodologies is an advantage. Preferred Skills (Optional):Familiarity with scripting or coding (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java, etc.). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Hands-on experience with enterprise applications, networks, or infrastructure management. Participation in technical communities or open-source contributions.
