Product Specialist -
Location : UAE
Reports to : Business Development ManagerTerritory : Middle East & North Africa (MENA) markets
Key Responsibilities
- Rollout the regional product strategy, roadmap, and business plan for electrochemistry / analytical instruments (potentiostat, galvanostat, modular
- systems, accessories, software).
- Perform market research, competitive analysis, customer needs assessment, technology trends, regulatory landscape in each target country.
- Identify growth opportunities (e.g. new applications, partnerships, verticals, cross-sell) and drive business cases.
- Align with global R&D / HQ on product development priorities, feature enhancements, localization, and new product launches.
Commercial & Sales Enablement
- Work closely with regional sales teams, distributors, agents across the MENA region to drive adoption, penetration, and revenue.
- Provide product training, technical support, sales tools, proposal support, ROI calculators, competitive selling aids.
- Define product requirements, feature specifications, competitive differentiation, pricing, and positioning for the region.
- Plan and execute product launchescoordinate marketing collaterals, training, demos, pilot installations, promotion campaigns, customer trials
- Monitor and support sales pipeline, help overcome technical or commercial objections.
- Collaborate with marketing to define demand generation strategies, campaigns, webinars, trade shows, and content localization.
- Liaise closely with service & support teams, application specialists, to ensure product performance, uptime, warranties, spare parts, and customer satisfaction.
Performance & Monitoring
- Define product KPIs (revenue, margin, market share, customer satisfaction, adoption, uptime).
- Monitor product performance, sales data, customer feedback, usage metrics; analyze and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic product / portfolio reviews and reprioritize roadmap accordingly.
- Track competitor activity, market changes, regulatory shifts; adjust strategy as needed.
Customer & Stakeholder Interface
- Engage with key customers, research institutions, universities, government labs,
- industrial users to understand their needs, test labs, co-development projects.
- Participate in technical workshops, conferences, exhibitions in the region.
- Represent us in the region from a product / technology perspective for electrochemistry solutions.
Education & Technical Background
- Masters degree in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. PhD is an advantage.
- Deep technical understanding of electrochemistry techniques (potentiostat / galvanostat, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry,
- spectroelectrochemistry, etc.).
- Familiarity with analytical instrument domain, laboratory instruments, scientific instrumentation is strongly preferred.
Experience
5+ years
of relevant experience (product management, technical marketing, R&D, liaison, commercial role) in analytical / scientific instrumentation or similar high-technology domain and commercial acumen.- Experience in Middle East / GCC / MENA region is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of launching and commercializing technical scientific products
- Experience interfacing across R&D, sales, marketing, support, and customers.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills (English; Arabic is a plus) able to convey technical
- content to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, meet timelines, manage budget.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data, metrics, forecasting,financials.
- Customer focus, problem solving, and ability to travel across the region.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in multi-country, multi-cultural environments.
- Good presentation, training, and public speaking skills.
Location & Travel
- Based in , UAE.
- Extensive travel across the MENA to support sales, customers, training, product launches.
- Occasional coordination with HQ in Europe / global product teams.
