The Impact You Will Have in This Role

The Product Owner is a key member of the Fixed Income team, responsible for translating the product vision into actionable deliverables and release plans. This role works closely with squads, Product Managers, clients (internal and external), and key stakeholders to manage scope and the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy and maximizing value to clients.

This position is part of the Fixed Income Tribe, offering a unique opportunity to support the success of a growing portfolio of post-trade fixed income services. As a leading market infrastructure provider, DTCC helps simplify data management across transactions and asset classes, driving transparency, efficiency, and risk mitigation for the global financial industry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Translate the Fixed Income Tribe product vision into squad deliverables and release plans
  • Independently lead multiple project teams from initiation to closure
  • Collaborate across stakeholder groups to gather business requirements, develop project plans, and define resource needs
  • Manage and maintain the squad's product backlog
  • Create and refine user stories to meet definition of ready for development
  • Accept or reject backlog items during sprints based on predefined acceptance criteria
  • Represent the voice of internal and external clients in squad discussions
  • Build strong relationships with Tribe Leads and stakeholders to identify and address issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Prioritize technical tasks when needed to achieve release goals
  • Evaluate implementation options to optimize product value while managing budget and scope
  • Provide analytical and reporting support for business decision-making
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations tailored to different audiences
  • Participate in all squad ceremonies, including sprint planning and release events
  • Follow established procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain compliance

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of financial services operations and technology; experience in banking, capital markets, or related fields is a plus
  • Strong understanding of standard software delivery methodologies
