Product Designer - Home

You are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to lead the design and development of hard goods in the Home category at House of Anita Dongre. Your role will involve conceptualizing and designing new products, conducting market research, collaborating with various teams, coordinating with artisans and manufacturers, ensuring brand alignment, and participating in range planning and launches. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptualize and design new products across the home hard goods segment (excluding furniture), from ideation to final prototype. - Conduct market and trend research to identify design opportunities in categories like kitchen tools, tableware, storage solutions, bath accessories, etc. - Collaborate closely with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design feasibility, material availability, and cost-effectiveness. - Coordinate with artisans, vendors, and manufacturers to translate design concepts into samples and final products. - Ensure alignment with brand aesthetics and design language while also bringing innovation to product offerings. - Participate in range planning, seasonal launches, and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field from NID or similar college. - 3-5 years of experience in product design, preferably in home hard goods (e.g., tableware, kitchen accessories, home dcor). - Strong understanding of materials such as metal, ceramic, wood, glass, etc. - Excellent sketching, prototyping, and communication skills. - Awareness of current design trends and sustainable practices in home design.
