Job Overview TE Connectivitys Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users. Responsibilities Provide technical support to TE affiliates on product compliance and Conflict mineral requests and address / resolve customer queries. Evaluation of material declarations provided by the supplier based on the usage assessment of the substances in TE products. Knowledge on the latest legislations related to the environmental regulatory compliance of various countries having TEs product footprint Work with global purchase groups for non-responsive suppliers. Participate in meetings / monthly /Bi-monthly Tele-conferences related to product compliance updates. Interact directly with customers / TE affiliates for compliance or conflict Mineral or system related queries. Knowledge of entering material declarations in different customer formats / Web portal. Awareness of various systems / data repository, engineering processes. Capability to lead a team of associates for daily operations Initiate projects that have an impact on efficiency improvement and utilization at its best. Identify areas of waste and work towards continuous improvement with a high focus on productivity & Quality Desired Candidate Profile EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE Bachelor of Mechanical / Chemical / Polymer Engineering / MSc in Chemistry. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 1 to 4 years relevant experience in a product compliance and conflict Mineral role, preferably at a unit or enterprise level. Demonstrated experience in working as a team and across regions/time zones. Curiosity to understand, and ability to address and solve problems. Ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions inside TE and outside, as example customers and suppliers.
