Job Description

Job over View:

  • Formulating budgets for timely procurement of materials.
  • Development & implementation of key procurement strategies.
  • Zero down-time or delays in Project Schedules due to material shortages.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (Internal/External).
  • Management of the Accounts Payables (E2E).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Good and Fair Relationship with the Project team and the Suppliers.
  • Assessing project material requirements and designing purchase schedule in line with BOQs.
  • Getting best, accurate and competitive quotes from the venders.
  • Cost Savings over the budget through negotiations (over all savings for the company)
  • Obtaining the needed approvals based on the company procedures (in line with the Authority Matrix)
  • Timely placement of all Purchase Orders as per the Project Schedule
  • Follow-up and the Timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensuring quality of material from the Suppliers/Vendors.
  • Arranging logistics for the delivery of material to the respective Sites
  • Receipt and accounting of GRNs/DNs/Supplier Invoices.
  • Regular updating of supplier database, rates etc.
  • Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses.
  • Manage the companys day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards.
  • Material Checking, Local Purchasing, Ledger Maintain Checking Material which comes at Site.
  • Supplier Account Reconciliations at least once in every month
  • Follow up with purchaser for material and purchase orders those which are pending as well as with Accounts team for clearing the bills along with ensuring reconciliation,
  • Maintaining day-to-day Material Report, Making Formalities, and Documentation cost center wise.
  • Prepare MIS report on daily basis, and updating of all purchase transactions in system

Skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-9 years in procurement or a closely related field.
  • Prior experience with vendor management.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Projects management or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present proposals and interact with clients and stakeholders.
  • Should have good knowledge of Excel, Word and Power point.
  • Excellent communication skills, Strong negotiation capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
