Description
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales and purchasing to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement strategies in alignment with the company's overall business objectives. Your role will require strong negotiation skills, an in-depth understanding of supply chain operations, and the ability to effectively manage vendor performance with a minimum of 1+ year of experience. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinating with key company employees to determine their product and service needs. - Handling procurement tasks such as pre-qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, preparing agreements, and managing tenders. - Ensuring that purchasing policies and processes meet business objectives in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets. - Identifying and sourcing materials required for production while maintaining consistency with quality standards, delivery schedules, and budget constraints. - Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with internal teams to ensure materials availability. - Working closely with inventory and production teams to align material procurement requirements with production forecasts and demand. - Maintaining accurate records of all purchased materials, purchase orders, inventory, delivery notes, invoices, and contracts. Requirements: - Conducting regular audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and mitigate discrepancies. - Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and customers through effective communication and collaboration. - Evaluating and reporting supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery time, and after-sales service support. - Resolving issues related to materials, delivery delays, or discrepancies to ensure continuous production flow. - Facilitating the documentation requirements for material transportation insurance, declarations, e-way bills, taxes, and other levies. Additional Details: You are expected to engage with manufacturers and suppliers for procurement both within and outside the state of Kerala. Fluency in English and Hindi is required, and a background in Business education is preferred. What You Have: - Conducting periodic vendor reviews to ensure performance standards are met and identifying improvement opportunities. - Willingness to engage with vendors, channel partners, and customers for meetings, promotional initiatives, discussions, and negotiations.
