Job Description

As a Procurement Specialist (S&G) at Siemens Energy, you will independently manage end-to-end procurement for a defined portfolio of S&G commodities. This strategic and operational role is crucial for category performance, supplier management, negotiations, compliance, and execution of long-term commodity strategies. Your responsibilities will include: - E2E Commodity Ownership: - Manage the full lifecycle of procurement for assigned S&G categories. - Define annual saving opportunities, demand pooling, and category planning. - Drive sourcing events such as RFx, negotiations, supplier comparison, and award recommendations. - Strategic Sourcing & Contracting: - Lead price benchmarking, market intelligence, and supplier landscape analysis. - Negotiate commercial terms, manage contracts end-to-end, and ensure policy adherence. - Supplier Management & Performance: - Manage supplier relationships, performance KPIs, and risk monitoring. - Drive supplier onboarding, qualification, and due-diligence processes. - Stakeholder Management: - Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments. - Lead requirement clarification, specification alignment, and update business on procurement strategies. - Digital Procurement & Data Analytics: - Use SAP, Fieldglass, and digital procurement tools efficiently. - Maintain data accuracy, prepare KPIs, MIS decks, and identify digitalization opportunities. - ESG, Sustainability & Compliance: - Integrate sustainability considerations into supplier selection & category strategy. - Ensure compliance with regulations, internal audit readiness, and support sustainability initiatives. Your qualifications should include a Graduate degree in Engineering/Commerce/Supply Chain with an MBA preferred. You should have 3-7 years of hands-on experience in indirect procurement/category management, strong SAP experience, and exposure to Fieldglass is an advantage. Additionally, you should possess skills such as negotiation, analytical mindset, clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and strong compliance orientation. This role is strategic as you will manage 40+ supplier portfolios, drive category strategies, supplier consolidation, digitalization, and cost optimization. Moreover, you will work directly with senior leadership and contribute to India's IM roadmap, making it a pipeline role for future Category Manager/Lead within Siemens Energy SCM.,
