Procurement Lead buyer

Job responsibilities

1) Procurement of biopharma ingredients (RM / PM / Consumables / media / filters / chemicals etc) for manufacturing for domestic and overseas regulated markets

2) Manage supply of quality materials and services at right price for - R & D, Quality, Engineering, IT, HR and Admin spend

3) Part of PR > PO > GR > settlement cycle for an annual spend base of ~ Rs 1000 crore+ including its strategy, negotiations, contracting, ordering, delivery and settlement

4) Ensure procurement and supply governance as per the company policy and DOA norms, seek clarity in case of any ambiguity before moving further

5) Supply risk mitigation / alternate vendor development for ease of supply and cost excellence

6) Actively participate in annual budgets, track contract due dates / renewals, and start preparing ahead of time for the procurement strategy / negotiations

7) Compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements including internal / external audits of procurement to pay cycle (p2p)

8) Manage imports and customs clearance

9) Ensure management of all key holders through cross functional collaboration and active participation

10) Proactively handle any concerns of quality, delivery, cost and compliance and ensure resolution / time escalation

11) Adherence to purchasing policy and procedures including statutory and regulatory compliance

12) Take ownership of the spend category

Qualification required

Experience required 10 years in similar role of a large size complex organisation.

4) Proactive approach with problem solving attitude

5) Process orientation and strong ethics etc

7) Knowledge of ERP / SAP, Ariba, VendX etc
