Procurement Engineer - Mumbai

Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular vendor assessments to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors.
• Review terms and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure favorable terms for the organization.

Budget and Cost Control:

• Monitor procurement budgets and expenditures.
• Implement cost control measures and track savings achieved through effective procurement practices.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate procurement activities to support project milestones and deadlines.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the procurement team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procurement processes, including sourcing, bidding, and contract management.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
