Role Overview: As a Procurement Engineer at Hailstone, you will play a crucial role in identifying and developing suppliers for crusher components. Your responsibilities will include interpreting engineering drawings, evaluating supplier capabilities, leading RFQ processes, and maintaining procurement documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of components. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and develop suppliers for crusher components such as wear parts, castings, precision-machined parts, and standard bought-out items. - Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate sourcing. - Evaluate supplier capabilities and conduct periodic audits to maintain quality and delivery compliance. - Lead RFQ processes, negotiate costs, and onboard suppliers effectively. - Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to validate supplier inputs and samples. - Monitor supplier performance and drive cost reduction initiatives. - Maintain procurement documentation including purchase orders, supplier contracts, and vendor databases. - Ensure sourcing strategies align with production schedules and inventory goals. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Btech/BE Mechanical). - 3-5 years of experience in procurement roles.
