Job Description

As a Research Analyst (Procurement and Buyer), you will be responsible for sourcing, procurement operations, and handling non-stock product requests. Your role will involve vendor negotiation, quotation preparation, and maintaining profitability across special orders. Additionally, you will support sales teams, conduct product research, and ensure accurate fulfillment within supply chain workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Prioritize and complete non-stock quotations within SLA timelines. - Identify product attributes including size, material, quantity, and technical specifications. - Research product availability within core and non-core offerings to determine optimal sourcing paths. - Establish and maintain business relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing, MOQs, and lead times. - Review and manage net profit margins to ensure sustainable profitability. - Develop ISO-compliant quotation documents and create NCNS part numbers. - Provide strong customer service support across sales teams, customers, vendors, and internal groups. - Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree OR 25 years of related experience in the MRO field. - Ability to understand team and individual AIP goals. - Working knowledge of supply chain processes, sourcing, and vendor management. In addition, you should possess the following skills and abilities: - Working knowledge of MRO-related products (Automotive, Chemicals, Cutting Tools, Electrical, Fasteners, Fluid Power, Safety, Welding). - Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn systems such as SAP. - Strong online research capabilities. - Basic understanding of Business Intelligence and Lean Six Sigma concepts. Furthermore, your core competencies should include: - Sourcing & Vendor Relationship Management. - Product Attribute Identification & Technical Analysis. - Quotation Management & ISO-Compliant Documentation. - Net Margin Review & Profitability Management. - Customer & Sales Team Support. - NCNS Part Number Creation & Data Maintenance. Your technical skills should encompass: - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). - Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems. - Strong online research capabilities. - Familiarity with BI dashboards (Power BI) and KPI interpretation. - Basic Lean Six Sigma understanding (DMAIC, waste reduction). Lastly, your soft skills should include: - Effective communication and coordination abilities. - Strong multitasking and time management. - Analytical thinking and problem-solving. - Collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.,
