Job Description

Overview:-

Process Excellence Manager

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Lead and implement structured Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies across business processes.

Establish frameworks to measure process performance (KPIs, dashboards) and track improvements.

Drive cross-functional workshops to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.

  • COGS Ownership

Partner with product, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to analyze and optimize COGS drivers (materials, labor, overheads).

Lead value engineering, supplier benchmarking, and cost-out initiatives without compromising quality.

Monitor and report COGS savings against targets, ensuring sustainability of improvements.

  • Standardization & Best Practices

Develop and roll out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical processes.

Benchmark industry best practices and adapt them to water purifier manufacturing and service models.

Enable digital tools/automation for process monitoring and efficiency improvement.

Quality & Efficiency

Collaborate with Quality teams to reduce defect rates, improve reliability, and strengthen customer satisfaction.

Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve yield, reduce downtime, and enhance throughput.

Drive initiatives to reduce rework, scrap, and warranty costs.

  • Change Management & Capability Building

Build organizational capability in Lean/Process Excellence through training and coaching.

Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

Lead structured problem-solving (A3, RCA, 8D) across teams.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Value Engineering.
  • Proven experience in driving COGS reduction programs in consumer appliances, electronics, or manufacturing setups.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with high ownership.
