Principal Software Architect - Compliance Tools

As a technology professional joining our compliance technology division within a global investment and technology firm, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical applications that ensure regulatory compliance by integrating with trading systems and analyzing trading data in real time. Your role will involve executing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, and collaborating closely with compliance stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust software products. You will also play a leadership role by guiding junior developers, driving end-to-end project lifecycles, and contributing to innovation through research and adoption of new technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Execute the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. - Design, build, and maintain compliance technology applications that integrate with trading systems. - Analyze and process large datasets to generate accurate compliance reports. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined timelines. - Collaborate with compliance stakeholders and cross-functional teams. - Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership. - Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and R&D initiatives to evaluate and adopt new technologies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors (BE/BTech) or Masters degree in Computer Science. - 8+ years of software development experience with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and system architecture. - Solid understanding of software development principles and agile methodologies. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proven ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team environments. - Demonstrated job stability (minimum 2 years in each organization). Additional Details: - Experience leading small-to-medium teams and managing projects is a preferred qualification. - Exposure to compliance systems, trading platforms, or financial technology solutions is a plus. - Strategic and creative thinking to improve technical processes and solutions is valued in this role.,
