Job Summary

A reputed Polytechnic College in Ballari is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal to lead the institution. We are looking for a dynamic leader (preferably female, aged 50 years and above) with a strong commitment to academic excellence, student success, and institutional growth in the field of technical education.

The Principal will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership: Plan, implement, and evaluate academic programs to maintain high-quality standards. Encourage innovation in teaching, research, and learning.

Administrative Management: Oversee daily operations, admissions, student affairs, faculty management, and infrastructure.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to AICTE, DTE, and other governing body regulations.

Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and ensure optimal resource utilization.

Faculty & Staff Development: Recruit, mentor, and motivate faculty and staff. Build a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

Student Welfare: Ensure holistic student development through academic, extracurricular, and support services.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong ties with students, parents, industry, alumni, and community partners to enhance reputation and opportunities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology (Ph.D. preferred).

Experience: Minimum 20 years in teaching, research, or administration in a technical/polytechnic institution, with proven leadership experience (HOD, Vice-Principal, or equivalent).

Age: 50 years and above (applications from 50–55 years preferred).

Skills:

Strong academic leadership and administrative capabilities

In-depth knowledge of AICTE and DTE norms

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Strategic planning and execution ability
