Job Summary:

The Principal will be the academic and administrative head of the school, responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment. The role requires strong leadership in managing curriculum implementation as per CBSE norms, staff performance, student discipline, parent relations, and overall school operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:

  • Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
  • Monitor lesson plans, teaching methods, assessments, and academic outcomes.
  • Promote innovative teaching practices and integrate technology into the classroom.
  • Guide teachers in professional development and pedagogical growth.

Administrative Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day school operations, scheduling, and facility management.
  • Ensure compliance with CBSE affiliation norms, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain school records, reports, and documentation required by CBSE and government bodies.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and coordinate between departments.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Encourage teamwork, accountability, and performance appraisal systems.
  • Address faculty concerns and resolve conflicts diplomatically.

Student Affairs:

  • Foster student discipline, attendance, and character development.
  • Address behavioral issues, grievances, and special needs.
  • Promote co-curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure holistic development.

Parental & Community Engagement:

  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and school initiatives.
  • Organize parent-teacher meetings, school events, and community outreach programs.
  • Represent the school positively in external forums and build partnerships.

Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Work with the management to set school goals, budgets, and long-term vision.
  • Develop strategies for academic excellence, infrastructure development, and school branding.
  • Stay updated with educational trends, CBSE circulars, and policy changes.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in any discipline (mandatory).
  • B.Ed. or M.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Vice Principal, Coordinator, HOD).
  • Previous experience in a CBSE school is highly preferred.
