Role Description

The Principal Frontend Engineer will lead the Web Fabric initiative—defining architecture, scaling teams, and ensuring low-latency, high-quality UX across all products. This leader manages 10+ engineers and managers, aligning with Data Engineering and ML/API teams to deliver end-to-end reliability and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Own and evolve our frontend architecture and component strategy.
• Manage 10+ frontend engineers and managers to deliver high-velocity React / Next.js applications.
• Produce architecture documents, design specs, and implementation plans for exec review.
• Align architecture and delivery roadmaps with Data, ML and API teams.
• Establish frontend engineering best practices for CI/CD, testing, observability, and release automation.
• Define and track KPIs for velocity, UX performance, and developer productivity.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 6+ years engineering experience (2+ in leadership managing 10+ engineers).
• Deep experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript or similar modern frameworks.
• Demonstrated success building and operating large-scale frontend platforms.
• Strong foundation in CI/CD automation and frontend observability.
• Proven ability to write architecture docs and run design reviews.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Design-system implementation, SSR/SSG optimization, RUM analytics.
• Experience with real-time frontends (websockets, live data).
• Familiarity with Vercel, CloudFront, and modern deployment pipelines.
