Job Description

As a Principal Engineer - Piping on mining projects, your role involves in-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8. You will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems and components, reviewing detailed piping layout drawings, and collaborating with the project team to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing design specifications, vendor management, technical evaluations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for piping items. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop piping systems and components - Review detailed piping layout drawings and bill of materials - Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with specifications and standards - Review design specifications, manage vendors, conduct technical evaluations - Prepare valve material specifications and RFQs for piping bulk items Qualifications Required: - 14-18 years of experience in piping, static, rotary equipment engineering - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, preferred master's degree - PG diploma or certificate in Piping engineering would be an asset - Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills - Familiarity with working in a LEAN environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - C.
