Principal Designer / Architect

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership:

• Develop and execute design concepts that align with client needs and preferences.
• Lead design presentations and client meetings to communicate design intent effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design techniques to inform and inspire your work.

2. Project Management:

• Oversee all phases of the design process, including space planning, material selection, and color schemes.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure design integrity and quality.

3.Client Relations:

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
• Address client feedback and make adjustments to designs as needed.
• Provide clients with updates and progress reports throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Team Collaboration:

• Supervise and mentor junior designers and design assistants.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and encourage professional development within the design team.
• Coordinate with other departments, including marketing and sales, to align design efforts with company goals.

5. Technical Skills:

• Create detailed design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
• Develop and manage design documentation and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

6. Innovation and Creativity:

• Introduce and integrate new design ideas and technologies to enhance residential projects.
• Explore and implement sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional experience in residential interior design, with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed for client meetings or project deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent understanding of color theory, spatial arrangements, and material selection.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ, LEED AP) is preferred but not required.
