About the Role

We are seeking Principal Data Engineers with strong architectural vision and hands-on expertise to drive the design and delivery of complex, scalable data platform solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in Snowflake, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and core programming skills in SQL and Python.

This is a 1-year contractual role, ideal for individuals who excel in both strategy and execution within data engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and end-to-end solutioning for enterprise data platform initiatives.
• Architect, build, and optimize robust data pipelines, data models, and cloud-native platforms.
• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to gather requirements and design scalable data solutions.
• Ensure performance, security, and compliance across all data processes and systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices in coding, data management, and DevOps.
• Drive the use of modern technologies and tools in alignment with long-term platform strategy.
• Optimize cost and performance of data workloads on cloud platforms.

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2+ years in architecture or principal-level roles.
• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to design enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake for data warehousing, modeling, and performance tuning.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms – AWS (preferred) and/or Azure.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing, transformation, and automation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and CI/CD practices.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Spark, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and streaming data architectures.
• Certifications in Snowflake, AWS, or Azure.
