Job Description

Job Title: Primary Teacher Location: Winmore Academy Jakkur Reporting To: Principal Employment Type: Full-time Job Purpose: To facilitate the holistic development of students from Grades 1 to 5 by delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons, promoting creativity, discipline, and a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver lessons in core subjects (English, Math, EVS/Science, Social Studies) based on the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE as applicable). Plan, prepare, and implement lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. Create a classroom culture that is inclusive, supportive, and respectful of all students. Use a variety of instructional techniques and materials to meet the learning needs of students. Monitor and assess students’ progress regularly through formative and summative assessments. Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and reports. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians through PTMs, written correspondence, and informal meetings. Participate in school events, field trips, assemblies, and co-curricular activities. Collaborate with other teachers and administrative staff to enhance the teaching-learning process. Stay updated with developments in education and participate in professional development programs. Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (mandatory). B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory). Prior teaching experience in primary grades preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching young learners. Basic IT proficiency (MS Office, Smartboard use, online learning platforms). Desirable Attributes: CTET/State TET qualification. Experience with integrated and activity-based learning. Team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
