Primary Academic Coordinator

The Primary Academic Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the academic program of the primary section (Classes I–V). The role focuses on curriculum delivery, teacher support, student progress, and maintaining academic standards in line with school policies.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and oversee the academic curriculum for the primary section

Support and guide primary teachers in lesson planning and teaching strategies

Ensure syllabus completion as per the academic calendar

Monitor classroom teaching and provide constructive feedback

Conduct regular academic reviews and assessments

Coordinate preparation of worksheets, lesson plans, and teaching aids

Track student performance and suggest improvement strategies

Organize teacher training and academic workshops

Coordinate with parents regarding academic progress and concerns

Maintain academic records and documentation

Implement child-centric and activity-based learning methods

Ensure adherence to board guidelines and school policies

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Education preferred)

B.Ed / D.El.Ed mandatory

Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in primary classes

Prior experience as coordinator or senior teacher preferred

Skills Required

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Good classroom observation and evaluation skills

Knowledge of primary curriculum and pedagogy

Ability to work collaboratively with staff and management
