Pricing Executive

As a Rate Procurement & Negotiation specialist in the freight forwarding industry, your key responsibilities will include: - Sourcing competitive freight rates from carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and transport vendors. - Negotiating pricing and service terms to optimize margins and client value. - Preparing accurate and timely quotes for air, sea, and road shipments. - Customizing pricing based on cargo type, route, volume, and urgency. - Maintaining strong relationships with logistics partners and service providers. - Tracking rate validity, seasonal surcharges, and service updates. - Monitoring competitor pricing, market trends, and fuel surcharges. - Advising sales and operations teams on pricing strategy and positioning. - Evaluating cost structures and ensuring profitability on each shipment. - Flagging low-margin or loss-making quotes for review. - Updating rate sheets, tariffs, and pricing templates in ERP or freight software. - Ensuring data accuracy for internal and client-facing tools. - Providing quick turnaround on pricing requests for tenders and spot shipments. - Assisting in preparing pricing proposals for key accounts and RFPs. - Ensuring pricing compliance with customs, DGFT, and international trade regulations. - Maintaining audit-ready records of rate approvals and vendor contracts.
