Job Overview
We are seeking a Pricing Executive with strong knowledge of Ocean Import & Export freight forwarding. The role involves preparing competitive quotations, negotiating with carriers/agents, and supporting the sales team to achieve business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and provide accurate freight quotations (Ocean Import/Export – LCL/FCL, Air Freight if required).
Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, and vendors to source competitive rates.
Support the sales and business development team with timely pricing solutions.
Respond to RFQs, RFPs, and tenders by preparing detailed pricing proposals.
Negotiate rates while maintaining company margins and profitability.
Maintain and update a database of freight rates, surcharges, and vendor agreements.
Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and trade lane developments.
Collaborate with operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth shipment execution after quote acceptance.
Ensure pricing accuracy, transparency, and adherence to company policies.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of freight forwarding and shipping industry (especially Ocean Import/Export).
Good knowledge of Incoterms, trade lanes, and shipping documentation.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email correspondence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
