Job Description

Pre-School Teacher (Nursery / LKG / UKG) — PAN-India

Role Objective

Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN)

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Delivery:

    Plan weekly themes & circle time; run learning centres (literacy, numeracy, sensorial, art, pretend-play, blocks).
  • FLN Focus:

    Phonemic awareness/phonics, pre-writing strokes, vocabulary, number sense, shapes, patterns, measurement through hands-on tasks.
  • Motor & SEL:

    Fine/gross motor activities, songs/rhymes, movement, mindfulness; model positive behaviour and routines.
  • Assessment:

    Maintain observation checklists, portfolios & anecdotal records; share constructive feedback with parents.
  • Parent Partnership:

    PTMs, monthly newsletters/diaries/app updates; home-practice suggestions.
  • Safety & Well-being:

    Child safeguarding & hygiene protocols, attendance/dispersal, first-aid readiness; incident/visitor logs.
  • Records & Coordination:

    Weekly plans, resource inventory, event calendars; support events, assemblies, celebrations & field trips.
  • Ed-Tech:

    Use school LMS/app for homework, photos (as per consent policy), and progress tracking.
  • Coordinator Add-on (Sr. Role):

    Grade plans, peer observations, demo mentorship, classroom audits, and parent orientation sessions.
Qualifications
  • Mandatory (any one as per school policy):

    NTT / ECCE Diploma / Montessori

    certification.
  • Preferred:

    B.El.Ed / D.El.Ed / B.Ed (Pre-Primary)

    ; Graduation in any stream.
  • Certifications (advantage):

    Jolly Phonics/Phonics, First-Aid/CPR, Child Psychology/ECE.
  • Proficient English/Hindi; regional language is a plus. Warm, patient, and child-friendly communication is essential.

Workweek & Compensation
  • 5–6 days/week;

    typical school timings (morning shift); events/meetings as scheduled.
  • CTC:

    Competitive; city & experience banded; performance incentives where applicable.
Selection Process
  • Screening → Aptitude/child-safety check →

    Demo (10–12 min story/rhyme/activity)

    → Parent-handling role-play → Academic/Principal round → HR/Offer
