Certifications: Relevant Indusrtry OEM Certifications About The Role: As a PreSales Specialist for Storage, Backup, HCI, and Virtualization technologies, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and technology partners to design and position cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs across data storage, data protection, hyper-converged platforms, and virtualization environments, and translating them into scalable and cost-effective solutions. Your role will include conducting requirement analysis, building solution architectures, delivering presentations, leading Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and supporting technical responses to RFPs/RFIs. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will guide customers through technology evaluations and decisions across platforms like Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Veeam, Commvault, VMware, Nutanix, and others. This position demands strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to align infrastructure solutions to business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Understand customer requirements and propose tailored networking solutions. Architect solutions across storage, backup, hyper-converged, and virtualization platforms. Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients and stakeholders. Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) exercises and pilot projects to validate solutions. Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical and commercial inputs. Build strong relationships as a trusted technical advisor to customers. Support sales teams by articulating solution value and competitive advantages. Create solution documents, network diagrams, and BoMs for proposals. Collaborate with product, engineering, and delivery teams for solution alignment. Maintain deep technical knowledge of platforms like Dell EMC, Nutanix, NetApp, Hitachi, HPE, Vmware, Veeam, etc. Continuously upgrade personal certifications, attend training sessions, and stay updated with emerging technologies. Ensure a smooth handover of finalized designs and project scope to the post-sales delivery teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field. 6-9 years of proven PreSales or Solutions Engineering experience in networking or IT infrastructure. Deep technical expertise in Architect solutions across storage, backup, hyper-converged, and virtualization platforms. Strong hands-on knowledge of leading vendor like Dell EMC, Nutanix, NetApp, Hitachi, HPE, Vmware, Veeam, etc. Ability to design complex infrastructure architectures and create detailed solution documentation. Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, and creating proposals with high-quality technical and commercial inputs. Skilled at conducting technical workshops, customer demos, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs). Industry certifications preferred: Dell EMC Proven Professional, NCP, VCP, or equivalent. Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively and strategically under pressure. Collaborative approach, working effectively with sales, product management, and delivery teams. Strong documentation skills (solution designs, technical write-ups, presentations). Willingness to stay current with latest trends, certifications, and emerging technologies. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
