Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Requirement Gathering

    • Work closely with customers to understand their business challenges, IT infrastructure, and solution needs.
    • Conduct workshops, technical discussions, and discovery sessions with stakeholders.
  • Solution Design & Proposal Development

    • Translate customer requirements into scalable IT solutions.
    • Prepare technical solution documents, RFP/RFI responses, and detailed proposals.
    • Collaborate with product, solution architects, and delivery teams for feasibility and scope validation.
  • Sales Support

    • Partner with the sales team to support business development and account growth.
    • Deliver solution presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions.
    • Highlight competitive differentiators of the proposed solutions.
  • Team Management

    • Manage and mentor pre-sales engineers and solution consultants.
    • Define KPIs, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of pre-sales activities.
  • Market & Technology Awareness

    • Stay updated with emerging IT technologies, cloud, security, networking, and infrastructure trends.
    • Analyze market competition and recommend strategies to strengthen the companys value proposition.
  • Collaboration & Handover

    • Ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery teams with clear documentation.
    • Support post-sales activities when required for client satisfaction

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of IT pre-sales / solution consulting experience (with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/managerial role).
  • Strong technical expertise in

    Cloud, Networking, Cybersecurity, Data Center, and IT Infrastructure

    .
  • Proven experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs and preparing high-quality proposals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive solution strategies.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies will be an added advantage.
