Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Operations

• Serve as the senior Data Management leader in India and partner closely with the US Practice Director.
  
• Oversee day-to-day practice operations, consultant utilization, and delivery quality.
  
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, KPIs, and operational reporting.
  
• Ensure process consistency, documentation, and collaboration across time zones.
  

Client & Delivery Oversight

• Provide senior oversight across data governance, Snowflake, dbt, and metadata engagements.
  
• Review architectures, deliverables, and technical decisions to ensure quality and standardization.
  
• Act as an escalation point to resolve blockers, risks, and staffing challenges.
  
• Ensure teams follow established frameworks for data quality, metadata, lineage, and modeling.
  

People Leadership & Development

• Mentor and develop consultants across Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Quality, and cloud data platforms.
  
• Conduct 1:1s, career development planning, skills assessments, and performance evaluations.
  
• Drive capability-building programs and foster a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration.
  

Technical Excellence

• Enforce and evolve best practices for governance, data quality, metadata, Snowflake/dbt modeling, and platform usage.
  
• Conduct design reviews, model reviews, and technical troubleshooting sessions.
  
• Maintain practice templates, SOPs, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 10+ years in data engineering/analytics; strong expertise with Snowflake (5+ years), dbt (3+ years), and Fivetran (3+ years).
  
• Deep SQL and ELT/ETL skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
  
• Familiarity with Python, Airflow, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  
• Experience implementing data governance, metadata management, and security practices.
  

Leadership & Consulting Skills

• Proven experience managing consulting teams in India.
  
• Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and collaborate with US-based leadership in a matrix environment.
