Job Description: Develop Reports & Dashboards : Design and build interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for business users. Data Modeling : Create and optimize data models using Power BI, including relationships, calculations, and measures using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). ETL Processes : Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI, utilizing Power Query to clean and shape the data. Collaboration : Work with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions. Power BI Service Management : Publish and manage Power BI reports in Power BI Service, create workspaces, and collaborate on shared reports and datasets. Performance Optimization : Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards by ensuring data models and DAX queries are efficient. Security & Access Control : Implement row-level security (RLS) to ensure that users can only see data relevant to their role. Troubleshooting & Support : Provide support for Power BI issues, troubleshoot report errors, and assist in troubleshooting data issues. Documentation : Document the data models, dashboards, and reports for future reference and to ensure consistency in reporting across the organization. Stay Current : Keep up to date with new Power BI features and trends in the business intelligence space. Required Skills And Qualifications: Experience : 4 years of experience in Power BI development, including designing and building reports and dashboards. Proficiency in Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service : In-depth knowledge of Power BI tools, report publishing, and sharing reports in the Power BI Service. Data Modeling Skills : Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and building complex relationships between tables. DAX Knowledge : Advanced proficiency in DAX for creating calculated columns, measures, and custom calculations. ETL Tools & Data Transformation : Expertise in using Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). SQL Knowledge : Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and working with large datasets. Visualization : Experience creating visually appealing and intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards with best practices for design and usability. Performance Optimization : Knowledge of techniques to optimize large datasets, queries, and report performance. Power BI Security : Experience with setting up row-level security (RLS) to restrict access to data. Cloud & Data Integration : Familiarity with cloud-based data sources (e.g., Azure SQL Database, SharePoint, Google Analytics). Version Control : Experience with source control management (e.g., Git) for tracking report development versions. Excellent Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and deliver insights in a clear and concise manner.
